An England Fan’s Guide to Euro 2020 was a newspaper that was designed in order to guide fans through the course of the tournament. The publication included information about the team, kits, opponents and locations.
The newspaper was made with the idea that football should be diversified culturally and creatively. Giving everyone the outlet in which to learn about the team, whether they were a football fan before or not, was at the forefront of this project. With this in mind, the importance of designing a guide/magazine that covers all aspects of the Euros in detail to educate the reader needed to be balanced with being aesthetically pleasing as well as informative.

Magazines and guides can not only be informative but be works of art in their own right. If successfully designed, such a magazine/guide can become a collector’s item, that will root itself in history.
The whole visual identity for the newspaper was created, from the illustrations to the typefaces. All of the typefaces were made with the tournament in mind and have significance relating to the competition.

This newspaper was also featured in 30 Covers of 2021 on the Newspaper Club website.
