Rubbish is wherever we look, wherever we go. Single use plastics being thrown away and ending up in our oceans. What if we could use those pieces of rubbish in art?
Type My Trash! was a project to make a typeface that promotes sustainability. The final typeface was made out of bottle tops that had been collected from one family over the course of a month, to show how much we as humans are consuming.

Other experimental typefaces from this project included a pictorial typeface, which was made out of 26 pieces of rubbish, all collected within the space of a 2-week time-span from the same person. These pieces of rubbish were then used and folded into the different letters they corresponded to.
Promoting sustainability and recycling was at the forefront of this project, hoping that using these pieces of rubbish to make a typeface would inspire other people to do the same.
